A lot of people feel that meditation means concentration, they feel that all they have to do is sit at some silent place and just try to concentrate without getting any thoughts.
Let me tell you, Meditation is just the opposite of this. Meditation is all about deconcentration,
It's a state of deep restful awareness, calm mind, a relaxed body and breath.
There are many scientific research papers which talk about the health benefits of meditation, Science and the scientists have now become very curious in recent times to know what meditation does to one's body and mind.
This ancient wisdom is now being studied by scientists all across the globe.
Meditation relaxes the nervous system, brings the level of anxiety and stress down, it makes you feel good and Research says that people who meditate regularly have been said to have longer telomeres and better brain health. ( Longer telomeres are linked to anti ageing and longevity)
Guided meditation is a great start and often a first step for anyone beginning their meditation journey. Most people start with guided meditation. I started my own journey with guided meditation 4 years back and once you get a hang of it, you may begin to practice on your own.
If you're someone who wants to try out the guided mediation without availing the yoga classes, you may opt for my five days guided meditation program.
